How do I set up notifications?

by The PAH! Team on
🟡 Short Summary:

Notifications help you stay on top of booking requests, client messages, and anything that needs your attention in the PAH! app.

✨ Why it matters:

When your notifications are working, you’ll never miss:
✅ A new booking opportunity
✅ A message from a Deaf client
✅ An important update from PAH!

📲 How to turn on notifications:

This part depends on your device:
  • iPhone (Apple): Go to Settings > Notifications > PAH! → Make sure Allow Notifications is turned ON.
  • Android: Go to Settings > Apps > PAH! > Notifications → Enable notifications.
This is the same way you’d manage notifications for most other apps.

👀 How to view your notifications:

Once notifications are enabled, you’ll see red badges inside the app:
  • A red badge on the Messages icon = a new message
  • A red badge on the Notifications icon = a new booking or app update
  • A red dot on the app icon = something needs your attention
Tap the relevant icon in the bottom navigation bar to view what’s new.

📬 How to track what you’ve read (and what you haven’t):

Inside the Notifications tab, you’ll see two views:
  • Unread: Only notifications you haven’t opened yet
  • All: Everything you’ve received in one place
You can also slide a notification left and tap "Mark as unread" if you want to come back to it later.

📌 Note:

We’re constantly improving! Be sure to update your app regularly for the best notification experience.
