What happens if I don't respond to booking requests?

When a booking request comes through, it means someone is waiting for an interpreter - often for something really important. That’s why it’s super important to respond to booking requests promptly, whether you’re available or not.
Every time you don’t respond, it delays the customer finding someone who is available. And that can mean missed opportunities, extra stress, or communication barriers that shouldn’t exist.
Even a quick “no thanks” helps the system work better for everyone.
💛 Why it matters:
- Deaf customers are relying on you to show up or let them know you can’t
- Faster responses = better access for our community
- It helps you too—often customers will prioritise offering jobs to interpreters who regularly respond
🚀 Your next steps:
- Got the capacity? Jump in quick and accept!
- Not available? Decline the booking so others can be offered it
- On leave or unavailable? Update your availability in the app (super easy) How? Check out this Knowledge Base
We know you care deeply - about access, community, and doing this job well. Thanks for being proactive and helping us create a system that works better for everyone. 🙌
