  • Yes, on both counts.

    This membership includes activities that are eligible for NAATI recertification points.

    In fact, it could reasonably cover the majority of your required points over a 3-year cycle - especially when you combine the course modules, PD sessions, and mentoring.

    As for tax, we believe this membership would be fully tax deductible as a professional development expense. That said, it’s always best to double-check with your tax professional based on your individual circumstances.

  • This membership is designed for freelance Auslan interpreters with at least 3 years of experience. Whether you’re just 3 years in, or been interpreting for 15+ years - we think you'll benefit.

    If you’re navigating the challenges of solo work, trying to grow your skills, build a sustainable income, or simply feel more connected, this space is for you.

  • Every time an interpreter accepts a booking through the PAH! platform, there’s normally a $5 booking fee charged.

    As a member, this fee is waived - meaning you’ll save $5 on every single booking you complete through PAH! while your membership is active. Those savings can add up quickly.

  • Yep! If you've already got insurance covered, we'll reimburse you up to the value of the current ASLITA group policy.

  • Zoom check-ins will be held once a month on a weeknight evening, so you can join after work without needing to take time off during the day.
  • Mentorship within the course is designed to be mutual, respectful, and peer-led - you will be paired with another interpreter from the course to encourage shared learning and accountability.

    We believe every interpreter has something to offer, no matter how long they’ve been in the field, and the mentoring structure reflects that.

    It’s about creating a supportive, two-way relationship where both people grow.

  • As a member, you’ll get immediate access to two existing PD sessions:

    • The Right Person for the Job: Ethical Decision-Making for Auslan Interpreters

    You’ll also be the first to access any new PD we create. We typically deliver 3 PDs each year, covering relevant, real-world topics to keep your practice sharp and current.

  • Yes, you can!

    While the membership is primarily tailored to Auslan/English interpreters, Deaf interpreters are absolutely welcome.

    Many of the resources, tools, and check-ins will still be relevant to your practice.
