PAH! calendar sync? How it works.

by The PAH! Team on

We’ve had a few questions come through about the calendar sync function in the new PAH! app — so here's a quick overview of how it works (and what’s different from the old app).

Here’s what to know 👇

🔁 Calendar Sync: Simplified

In the new PAH! app, we’ve pared back the calendar sync feature quite a bit. During community consultation, we heard very mixed feedback - some people loved it, others didn’t use it at all - so it wasn’t prioritised for this first release.

But we’ve kept the basics:

  • When you accept a booking, the event will be added to your phone’s default calendar.

  • That’s it: simple and helpful.

🔧 What doesn’t happen (yet)

The app does not auto-update your calendar if:

  • The job time changes

  • The customer cancels

  • You withdraw from the booking

So for now, you’ll need to update your calendar manually if anything changes.

Most interpreters can still move the event into another calendar (e.g. a dedicated work calendar) after it’s been added - depending on your device.

Rather not sync it at all?

Tell it not to!

1. Download app > Allow calendar sync? = No.

Already downloaded the app? You'll need to delete & reinstall it to remove it syncing to your calendar. Don't worry - this won't delete any of your data! 🙃

📣 Tell us what you’d actually use

We’re currently scoping the future of this feature - but we want to make sure it works for YOU.

That’s where you come in. We’ve created a short survey to help us understand:

  • What kind of sync features you want (if any)

  • How you currently use your calendar (if at all)

  • What would make your life easier when it comes to bookings + calendars

Even if you don’t use a digital calendar, we still want to hear from you! That’s important for us to know too.

Thanks as always for your feedback—it’s what helps us keep improving PAH! in the right ways.
